Terms of Service

1. Who we are

SportsLab is a sports-forecasting front-end built on the POE1 prediction engine. It is operated by the SportsLab team (the "Service"). These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use SportsLab. The Service is not available to anyone subject to a self-exclusion register in any jurisdiction.

3. What SportsLab is — and isn't

• SportsLab is a decision-support and analytics tool. It produces probabilistic forecasts and evidence summaries about sporting outcomes.
• SportsLab is not a sportsbook, exchange, broker, bookmaker, lottery operator, fantasy operator, or licensed gambling provider.
• SportsLab does not accept wagers, hold funds, route money, or settle bets.
• SportsLab outputs are not betting advice, tips, picks, or recommendations. They are estimates carrying inherent uncertainty.

4. Your account

You are responsible for your account, password, and all activity that occurs under it. You must give accurate information, keep credentials secure, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

5. Acceptable use

Use of SportsLab is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. You may not scrape outputs at scale, resell or rebrand outputs without permission, target minors, circumvent rate limits, or use the Service in any jurisdiction where its use is prohibited.

6. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account page; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, models, brand, and content (excluding user inputs and third-party sports data) is owned by the SportsLab team or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. User-provided inputs

You retain ownership of the questions and inputs you submit. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process those inputs for the purpose of providing and improving the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the SportsLab team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, losses arising from gambling decisions, loss of data, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD 100.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the SportsLab team from any claim arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or to comply with law. You can stop using the Service at any time; sections that by their nature survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability) will continue to apply.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where local consumer law gives you a non-waivable right to a different forum.
